Diet Confusion

Diets are pretty confusing, I must admit

But who is right? Which is the best method? I suppose we'd all be skinny if we knew the answer to that. There are just so many conflicting rules and ideas that it totally baffles me......

Ok so:

Carbs are bad for you they make you put on weight, skip them and you'll lose. But, if you are following the Slimming World plan you can eat carbs until the cows come home, but only if you don't mix them with fats.

Fats are good for you if you are on something like the Atkins Diet or the Harcombe Diet, or the Pig2Twig diet. But, if you are on Slimming World or Weight Watchers you should be cutting the fat from your diet and trimming your meat.

Bread is bad for you (especially white bread) and switching to wholemeal bread is much better for you. But, if you are on Weight Watchers white and brown bread seems to have the same 'points' value so indicates there is no difference

Sugar and sugary snacks have never really been 'allowed' on most diets I have tried, but for some reason Weight Watchers allows you to eat this kind of stuff - as long as it is within your 'points' allowance

Vegetables (apart from potatoes) and salad seem to be a universal winner so we probably can't go wrong with those

Moral of the story? Eat more Veg!!

Real moral of the story - don't mix all what you have learnt from other diets and do them all at the same time as you'll end up the size of a small house.
